Exciting day at Morgan State University for their

Exciting day at Morgan State University for their annual STEM Expo! We were honored to bring along the young, inquisitive minds of Cherry Hill Elementary Middle School’s wrestling team to dive into discovery, innovation, and curiosity.

The Expo — hosted by the university’s Center for Excellence in Mathematics & Science Education (CEMSE) — set the stage for hands-on exploration across science, technology, engineering and math. CEMSE, established in 1988, is dedicated to fueling the pipeline of STEM education and equipping youth and educators with meaningful programs.

At the event, our team of student-wrestlers weren’t just spectators — they were participants. From prototyping engineering challenges to engaging with AI and robotics demonstrations, the energy was electric. They stepped into labs, asked bold questions, and saw how STEM careers can spring from their own curiosity and drive.

We applaud Morgan State’s commitment to empowering young learners:
• A free, inclusive expo for Pre-K through 12 students in the DMV region.
• CEMSE’s robust offerings including summer internships, Saturday academies, math-science partnerships and more.
• The synergy of a historic HBCU advancing equity in STEM and our community youth stepping into that space.

For the @cherryhill_wrestling : today you didn’t just wrestle on the mat — you wrestled with ideas, challenged yourself in new ways, and expanded what’s possible. For us at Beat the Streets Baltimore, this moment aligns with our mission: preparing young people not only to win matches, but to win in life — academically, professionally, and personally.
