The Beat the Streets National Duals & Camp is a powerful, five-day experience designed to connect, challenge, and uplift youth wrestlers from across the country. This annual event brings together student-athletes from major cities in the Beat the Streets network for elite-level competition, skill development, mentorship, and direct exposure to college campuses and coaches.
Hosted at the historic University of Pennsylvania, the 2025 event blends athletic excellence with academic opportunity, offering young people a platform to grow on the mat and prepare for life beyond high school.
Beat the Streets Nationals is more than a wrestling tournament. It’s a movement centered on access and opportunity—providing students from under-resourced communities with a chance to compete at a high level, build lifelong relationships, and explore what’s possible for their futures.

A central part of the experience includes guided campus tours and recruiting conversations at leading universities. These visits are designed to give student-athletes a deeper understanding of the college environment and the expectations of NCAA-level programs.

Tuesday, June 24 – Depart Baltimore; tour Delaware State University; check in at the University of Pennsylvania
June 25–26 – Dual-meet competition, clinics, panels, and finals
Friday, June 27 – College campus tours and meetings with wrestling coaches
Saturday, June 28 – Conclusion with a full-day wrestling camp at Morgan State University, led by Olympic Gold Medalist Kenny Monday and the Morgan State Wrestling Staff
This event is organized by Beat the Streets National and hosted in collaboration with Beat the Streets Philadelphia and the University of Pennsylvania. Participating athletes represent BTS programs from across the United States, building community through competition, service, and shared vision.
The Beat the Streets Wrestling Program of Baltimore is committed to providing a positive environment that nurtures physical and mental development through wrestling, mentoring, and tutoring programs.
The BTS National Duals is a USA Wrestling-sanctioned event.
Format: Duals teams by city compete against each other including a championship round.
Style: Freestyle wrestling duals. Dual meet format similar to USAW National Duals.
Weight Classes: Using USA Wrestling 16U Boys and 16U Girls weight
Eligibility: All youth participants must have an active USA Wrestling Athlete Membership. All coaches must have active USA Wrestling Leader (coach) Membership and have completed the USA Wrestling Coach Bronze Certification.
Number of Youth (Baltimore) : 36-40
Ages/Grades: 7th grade to (especially to fill lower weights) to 12th graders (including graduating seniors and youth over the age of 18).
Weight allowance: No weight allowance. A check scale will be available to use at the venue all week.
Weigh-ins: Wednesday, 5PM - 6PM local time, the day before the competition, and after technique session #2 of the day
