About the Program

The 2024 BTS National Camp and Duals at Boston University hosted by Beat The Streets New England will be an unforgettable and transformative event for all participants. With over 400 BTS athletes from 11 cities across the country, this will be an exciting gathering of young wrestlers eager to learn, compete, and grow.

National Duals Date: Thursday, June 27, 2024

Program Offering:

Wrestling Technique Clinics: Athletes will receive top-tier coaching and instruction from experienced wrestlers, honing their skills and learning new techniques.

Pathway Convention: In addition to wrestling, athletes will attend workshops on essential topics such as college, career, trade, and service, creating a safe and productive space where our youth can excel.

Networking: Athletes will have the opportunity to connect with peers from different parts of the country, forging friendships and building a strong community within the BTS network.

Competition: The 2024 National Camp and Duals will culminate in exciting dual matches, during which athletes can showcase their skills and compete at a high level.

Big Night Live: On the 28th, the Big Night Live event will showcase super-matchups from our nation’s top wrestlers.

The Beat the Streets Wrestling Program of Baltimore is committed to providing a positive environment that nurtures physical and mental development through wrestling, mentoring, and tutoring programs.

The BTS National Duals is a USA Wrestling-sanctioned event.

Format: Duals teams by city compete against each other including a championship round.

Style: Freestyle wrestling duals. Dual meet format similar to USAW National Duals.

Weight Classes: Using USA Wrestling 16U Boys and 16U Girls weight

  • Girls 95 lbs, 100 lbs, 105 lbs, 110 lbs, 115 lbs, 120 lbs, 125 lbs, 130 lbs, 135 lbs, 140 lbs, 145 lbs, 155 lbs, 170 lbs, 190 lbs, 235 lbs
  • Boys: 100 lbs, 106 lbs, 113 lbs, 120 lbs, 126 lbs, 132 lbs, 138 lbs, 144 lbs, 150 lbs, 157 lbs, 165 lbs, 175 lbs, 190 lbs, 215 lbs, 285 lbs

 

Eligibility: All youth participants must have an active USA Wrestling Athlete Membership. All coaches must have active USA Wrestling Leader (coach) Membership and have completed the USA Wrestling Coach Bronze Certification.

Number of Youth (Baltimore) : 36-40

Ages/Grades: 7th grade to (especially to fill lower weights) to 12th graders (including graduating seniors and youth over the age of 18).

Weight allowance: No weight allowance. A check scale will be available to use at the venue all week.

Weigh-ins: Wednesday, 5PM - 6PM local time, the day before the competition, and after technique session #2 of the day
